The Divi Contact Form Module makes it easy for website visitors to get in touch with you and for you to collect information from your visitors.
By default, the Divi Contact Form Module field labels are displayed inside the input fields. However, sometimes, you might want to display the labels above the contact form fields. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to accomplish that with a little bit of CSS.

How to Add Labels Above the Fields in Divi’s Contact Form Module
There are two ways we can input custom CSS on your Divi website: via the Theme Customizer, which will affect all contact forms across your website, or per page in the page’s settings which will affect individual contact forms. First, we’ll try the per-page method, and then I’ll show you how to add the CSS globally.
Navigate to Your Page
First, navigate to your contact form page and enable the Visual Builder.
Expand the Divi toolbar at the bottom of the page and click the gear icon to bring up the page’s settings. Then navigate to Advanced > Custom CSS and copy and paste the CSS code.
This is the CSS code you’ll have to copy and paste into the Custom CSS box:

Here’s what we got so far. You’ll notice that our font styling doesn’t carry over, and there is now a duplicate title above the dropdown field.
So to fix that, we’ll add some font styling CSS to the code and a few more lines of code to remove the duplicate title above the dropdown field.
Adding the code globally will affect all contact forms on your website. If you want the changes to apply to a specific contact form only, you’ll need to add a CSS ID to the module in the advanced tab. After doing so, place the “#” + your CSS ID in front of every CSS class you’re targeting in the code.
There are three places you can add the CSS code to take effect globally. To your child theme’s style.css stylesheet:

Directly from Your Divi Builder
Since Version 3.0.99 of Divi, you can find and import any of the layouts included in this pack (along with ALL of Divi’s Premade Layout packs) directly from the Divi Builder. They are already waiting for you.
To access your new layout, simply activate the Visual Builder when editing a page and look for the “Load From Library” icon in the page settings bar (it looks like a plus symbol). Click this icon to launch the Load From Library popup. Under the Premade Layouts tab, you can easily find the new layout by scrolling through the list of layout packs. Once you find the AI Generator Layout Pack, click on it. You will see all the individual layouts included in the pack. Select the layout you want to use and then click the “Use This Layout” button.

Before you can download Premade Layouts from the Divi Library you must authenticate your Elegant Themes Subscription. You can do this by navigating to Divi > Theme Options > Updates. There you can enter your username and API key and save changes.
You can find your API Key under your members area on the Elegant Themes site. If you haven’t done this, when you click to import a layout to your page, you will be prompted to enter your Elegant Themes Membership Username and API Key.

Installing Clara Divi Child Theme
Before installing the Clara Divi child theme, make sure you have Divi installed on your WordPress site. The theme author recommends installing Clara on a fresh WordPress installation since the child theme will overwrite the existing website. Once you are ready to install, navigate to the Themes page under Appearance in your WordPress dashboard and click Add New.
From the Add Themes page, click the Upload Theme button at the top. Select clara-divi-child-theme.zip from your files, then click Install Now.
Once installed, activate the theme.
When the child theme is activated, the Clara Demo Import tab will appear in the Dashboard menu. This page allows you to easily import all child theme content and settings with one click. Select Import Demo Content to begin.
Once the installation is successful, you will see a completion message.
Now the child theme has been fully installed and set up for you to use – all you need to do is replace the content! Let’s explore the page layouts that come with the Clara Divi child theme.
Clara Divi Child Theme Pages
The Clara Divi child theme comes with 16 different page layouts, including blog and project pages. Some of the layouts are set up as pages, and some are set up as Divi Theme Builder layouts. The child theme is editable with the Divi Builder, so you can easily change the content or modify the design and colors as you like.
The design of the Clara Divi child theme is simple, elegant, and feminine, with a muted pink and orange color scheme. I like the primary serif font that was selected for the headings, and the script font used as an accent adds a nice touch to the design. Loading animations are used on images throughout the design, adding some subtle but effective movement to the layouts.
Let’s take a closer look at each layout.
Clara Home Page
The home page opens with a hero header section with an image that slides in from the side and a call-to-action button. The page also features a services section, a call-to-action section, a testimonial section, a how we work section where you can highlight steps of a process, recent blog posts, and a newsletter sign-up form. I really like the home page layout, especially the how we work section with the overlaying text and arrows.
Clara About Us Page
The About Us page has a header with two images, followed by a How it all started section that has three number counters. The Our story so far section has an image on the right and a toggle section. Following this is a testimonial section, a CTA section, and a newsletter sign-up form.
Clara Services Page
The services page features a header, some description text, and 6 blocks to show off each of your services. This is followed by the testimonial, CTA, and newsletter sign-up sections.
Clara Single Service Page
This page layout is where you can share information about your service in-depth. Like the other pages, this page begins with a header section with two images that slide in from the side. The main section on this page features a long section of text with an image on the right. Below this are three number counters followed by a CTA section, testimonials, and a newsletter sign-up.
Clara Projects Page
The projects page can serve as a portfolio to show your past work. The layout has a header, followed by the portfolio section with large images to show off your work. An orange overlay appears on hover. Like many of the other pages, this page ends with a testimonial section, a CTA section, and a newsletter sign-up.
Clara Single Project Page
The single project page is where you can highlight a single project or portfolio item you would like to showcase. The layout uses a simple heading section with the title, followed by a project summary section where you can write about the client, the challenge, and the solution. There are four images in this layout, which you can use to show images of your work. Below these are two subheadings for the challenge and the solution with a toggle section that can open to reveal more information about the work. This is followed by the testimonial section, the CTA section, and the newsletter sign-up section.
Clara Testimonials Page
The testimonials page features a header, followed by the testimonials section. Each testimonial is in a box with a quote icon at the top right corner. There are two rows of these testimonial sections, with one full-width testimonial featured in between. The page ends with a CTA and a newsletter sign-up section.
Clara Pricing Page
The pricing page opens with a header section. The pricing section is below and features the pricing and a button on the left, with the pricing tier title and a description on the right. This section also has three number counters, which are followed by the testimonial, CTA, and newsletter sign-up sections.
Clara FAQ Page
The FAQ page layout also begins with a header section with two images. The FAQ section below is split into three sub-sections, which I think is a nice touch to help customers navigate the page easily. FAQ questions are formatted in toggle modules that expand on click. This is followed by the testimonial, CTA, and newsletter sign-up sections.
Clara Blog with Sidebar
The Clara Divi child theme comes with two different blog page layouts. The first layout is the blog with a sidebar layout. This layout begins with a large header, followed by a blog section split with the blog content on the left and a sidebar on the right. The blog content is centered and has a large featured image. The sidebar features an introduction section, a search module, recent posts, and links to blog categories. At the bottom of the page is a newsletter sign-up section.
Clara Blog Grid
The alternative blog layout is the blog grid layout, which does not come with a sidebar. The page begins with a large header, and the blog posts below are organized in a grid. Below is a newsletter sign-up section.
Clara Contact Us Page

This post will explain Photoshop AI’s generative fill, what you can do with it, and some tips on using it effectively.

What is Photoshop AI Generative Fill?
Photoshop’s AI generative fill is a powerful feature that enables you to effortlessly fill, edit, and remove image elements with just a few clicks. Powered by machine learning AI, it generates parts of images or even entire composite photos in a fraction of the time it would take if a human were to do it. By analyzing each pixel of an image, it matches lighting, perspective, coloring, and shadows, resulting in a remarkably realistic piece of art. This non-destructive tool allows you to revert easily any changes you aren’t happy with, as it organizes every generated element into its own layer, complete with a layer mask. Properties panel: Shows or hides the properties panel for your image and all generative fill layers.
To make a selection in your image, you can use the select subject tool (1), any of the marquee or lasso tools (2), and the object selection, quick selection, or the magic wand tool (3). The selection appears with the marching ants (4) around it, then reveals the generative fill tools in the taskbar (5).
Now let’s look at the tools available when a subject is selected:
Generative fill: Where you’ll add text prompts to create images.
Selection tool: You can select the border, expand, contract, feather, or smooth the selection for better results.
Invert selection: Selects the pixels outside of the selection rather than inside.
Transform selection
Mask selection
Create a new adjustment layer
Fill selection with color or gradient
Toolbar positioning settings
Deselect selection
How to Use Photoshop AI Generative Fill
There are several different ways to use Photoshop AI’s generative fill tools. You can use it to create images from scratch, remove objects and backgrounds, extend the size of your canvas, and generate backgrounds or realistic objects. Even though there are only a few, these tools will save designers a ton of time editing low-quality or unattractive photos.
Extend Images With Photoshop AI
Using the photo from the previous section, we will fill the white areas of our canvas. To do this, select the rectangular marquee tool to form a selection around the edges of our canvas. Hold shift to make more than one selection, then drag the selection over the white areas of the image. Be sure to extend the selection to include some of the pixels from the original image. Finally, click the generative fill button.
You’ll notice that the generative fill taskbar reveals a text prompt input box. For this instance, we aren’t going to enter any text. By leaving it blank, Photoshop AI examines the pixels in the image and extends them within your selected area. Click the generate button to process the fill.
Here’s what our image looks like after Photoshop fills in the blank areas of our canvas. After using generative fill, you’ll have three variations to choose from which can be found in the generative layer properties. As previously mentioned, Photoshop generates a new layer, complete with a mask, so your original image remains untouched. If you aren’t satisfied with the results, you can click the generate button, which provides you with three new variations. You can repeat that process as many times as you like to get the results you’re looking for. Delete any variations you rule out to keep the file size down.
Generate Backgrounds with Photoshop AI
In addition to extending the image area of your canvas, you can use generative fill to replace backgrounds in your images. For this step, we’ll eliminate the background of our car image and replace it with a depiction of the salt flats in Utah. First, you want to ensure nothing is selected. We can use the select subject button for our image, but other selection tools may produce a better result depending on the image you decide to use.
With your subject selected, click the invert selection tool. Make any necessary adjustments to your selected area, then click the generative fill button.
When the text prompt appears, type in the background you wish to see. We used Utah salt flats for this example. Next, click the generate button.
Generate Realistic Objects With Photoshop AI
Now that we have the background in place, let’s use generative fill to add a lake to our photo. Using the lasso tool, we’ll draw a selection beneath the car. Be careful not to include the car itself, as Photoshop will overwrite any selected pixels with the information in the text prompt. Once the marching ants are in place, click the generative fill button, then enter the prompt: reflective lake. Then, click generate.
As you can see, Photoshop generated a small pond in the foreground of our image, complete with the car’s reflection.
Remove Objects With Photoshop AI
Another cool feature of Photoshop AI’s generative fill is the ability to remove objects in your photos. Let’s say you have a perfect image minus a few blemishes. Using AI, Photoshop will remove aspects of your image and fill it with surrounding pixels in the image. This may sound similar to the content-aware tool, but it goes way beyond that. Rather than getting a muddy, odd appearance, the replaced portions of your image are so seamless it’s nearly impossible to tell the difference.
For example, we’d like to replace the bird in this photo, so we’ll need to remove the one currently there. Using the lasso tool, form a selection around the bird, click generative fill, then generate. This will tell Photoshop to replace what’s in the selection with surrounding pixels in the image. Be sure to leave the text prompt empty unless you want to add something in its place.
Photoshop does an excellent job of removing the bird as if it were never there.
Create Unique Composite Images
In addition to altering existing images, Photoshop’s AI generative fill can create images too. However, we should note that Photoshop struggles with images larger than 1024 pixels, often resulting in lower-quality images. So, with that in mind, when creating new images, you’ll either need to create a canvas no larger than 1024 pixels (w x h) or generate your composite image in sections.
Start with a blank canvas measuring 1920 pixels wide by 1024 pixels tall. We’ll set the resolution to 300 pixels, select RGB as the color mode, and set the background color to white.
Next, use the rectangular marquee tool to draw a rectangular selection around the lower third of your image.
Using the generative fill tool, type in beach sand with ocean waves, then click generate.
Next, draw a selection around the middle third of your image, click generative fill, and enter the following prompt: majestic snow-capped mountain range. Then click generate to create the section.
For the third selection, draw a rectangular selection around the upper third of your image. Enter sun-filled sky, sparse clouds as the text prompt, then click generate.
Now that we have our background, let’s add a couple of accents. Start by creating a selection in the water with the lasso tool. Click generative fill, add the text prompt yacht in an ocean, then click generate.
Lastly, we’ll add a man with two dogs looking out at the scenery. Form a selection using the rectangular marquee tool over the lower right corner of the composite image. Use the text prompt dog and its owner looking over the ocean, then click generate.
Photoshop AI Generative Fill Tips
Now that you better understand how generative fill works, we’d like to give you a few tips to help you use it more effectively. While Photoshop’s AI tools work great all on their own, there are a few ways to get better results and combine them with other features in Photoshop.
It’s OK to Leave the Prompt Blank
When you want to remove an element, make a selection over where you want the element removed, click generative fill, then generate without entering a text prompt. This lets Photoshop know that you don’t wish to add anything; you only want to fill the selection with a similar look as the surrounding image pixels. It’s a great way to clean up photos with undesirable elements.
Be Creative With Your Selection
One unique feature of Photoshop AI’s generative fill tool is that the shape and size of the selection matter. For example, if you want to add a hat to a person in your image, be sure to draw your selection as closely as possible regarding the type of hat you’d like. Additionally, note that small selections add a smaller design element, whereas a large selection would result in a larger element. Using the appropriate shape for the item you want to add is an excellent way to give Photoshop more details on what you want, resulting in better output.
Don’t Use Instructional Prompts
One thing that Photoshop AI doesn’t do well is determining instructional prompts. Avoid using words like create, alter, or make when inputting your text prompts. Using descriptive adjectives and nouns will always give you better results. For example, if you generate an image of a dog, select the area around it, then tell Photoshop to make the dog bigger, it will likely result in an entirely different picture of a dog rather than a bigger version of the original one. Unlike other AI design tools, less is more. Photoshop’s AI doesn’t require descriptive styling words like highly detailed or cinematic photography because it will match the style of the photo you’re editing.
Utilize the Object Selection Tool
Some users might not love the marching ants (selection) when working in Photoshop. After all, they can sometimes be hard to see. A better way to make your selections stand out is by using Photoshop’s object selection tool. It’s excellent for highlighting individual areas for heightened visibility and gives you a more visual representation of the area you’re working with.
Use it to Blend Photos Together
Combining photos is another great way to use Photoshop AI’s generative fill feature. We’ll show you an example with two video game character images created in Midjourney. We’ll start by creating a blank canvas measuring 1800px by 1024px. Then we’ll import the first image into your canvas by clicking the import button on the contextual taskbar.
Next, we’ll use the crop tool to extend our canvas to provide more room for blending our images.
Then we’ll import our other image and add it to the canvas on the left side.
To blend the two photos together, we must ensure that both images are on the same layer. To do this, select the top layer, then hold Control + Shift + Alt + E (Windows) or Command + Shift + Alt + E (Mac) to tell Photoshop to create a new layer containing all other visible layers.
With the new layer selected, we’ll add a selection between the two photos, ensuring to include pixels from both images in the selection. Finally, click generative fill, then generate without adding a text prompt. The result is a blended photo that took seconds to create.
Before and After Examples Using Photoshop AI
We thought it might be fun to share a few of our creations as we researched this article, as it shows some of the things you can do with Photoshop’s AI generative fill tool. Its AI tools are impressive, whether you need to make small adjustments to an existing image or do a complete overhaul.
Before: An image of two people climbing a rock wall.
After: Those two people climb steep mountains while animals graze nearby. Cheesy, we know.
Before: Photo of a Jeep driving through a residential neighborhood.
After: A much more fitting image of a Jeep in a mountainous lake scene, driving down a dirt road. Now we’re getting somewhere.
Before: Photo of a Goldendoodle standing in a kitchen.
After: A Goldendoodle, standing in a picturesque lake, surrounded by boats, trees, and gorgeous lake homes. This one’s not bad, but the lighting is a little off. But for straight-out-of-the-box AI, it’s pretty good.
Before: A bagpiper standing in a residential driveway.
After: A bagpiper standing in the Scottish highlands on an overcast day. Ok, that’s pretty cool.
Composite image: We generated this from a blank canvas using only the rectangle selection tool and generative fill. Although pretty rough, it serves as a good starting point.
Photoshop AI Image Usage Rights
We could only end our article by mentioning the subject of generative fill and the usage rights of the photos it creates. Adobe has made it clear from the beginning that anything created with their AI programs is prohibited from using any images produced commercially. Now, this could be because they are currently in Beta. Adobe announced its plans to provide Firefly commercially, which may become more widely available soon. Regardless, you can create images to share with your friends on social media platforms or enjoy them for what they are as long as you aren’t profiting from them.
Final Thoughts on Photoshop AI Generative Fill
Photoshop AI is already an amazing tool, even in its beta form. Using the impressive AI-powered generative fill, you can alter images in nearly any way you imagine. While it does a good job of adding elements and removing backgrounds, it still has a long way to go. There are limitations, such as a maximum image size of 1024px, the lack of commercial image usage, and the need for better results for faces, hands, and animals. Undoubtedly, Adobe will continue to make improvements as the technology evolves.

How to Upload The Divi Construction Freebie Template
Go to Divi Theme Builder
To upload the template, navigate to the Divi Theme Builder in the backend of your WordPress website.
Upload Global Default Website Template
Then, in the top right corner, you’ll see an icon with two arrows. Click on the icon.
Navigate to the import tab, upload the JSON file which you were able to download in this post, and click on ‘Import Divi Theme Builder Templates’.
Save Divi Theme Builder Changes
Once you’ve uploaded the file, you’ll notice a new global header and footer in your default website template. Save the Divi Theme Builder changes as soon as you want the template to be activated.
How to Modify The Template
Open Divi Construction Freebie Header Template
To modify the global header template’s elements, start by opening the template.
Set Desktop Menu
This Divi Construction freebie header design has a desktop as well as a tablet/mobile design. Let’s begin by selecting a menu for the desktop view of our header.
Add Link to Button
Next, we add a link to our Button Module. Remember to also change the text on the button to match your call-to-action.
Upload Your Logo
Next, you want to edit the Image Module. Upload your own image and logo, preferably a PNG with a transparent background.
After setting our desktop elements, we need to switch to the tablet view. This will enable us to edit our tablet and mobile elements.
Then, we select our menu for the tablet and mobile
Upload Inverse Logo
For the mobile menu, we use a yellow background color. Because of this, you will want to use the inverse color of your logo. We would suggest using the dark color of your logo for the mobile menu’s logo, as opposed to the light-colored version so that it can be seen.
Update Button for Smaller Devices
Edit the Button Module within the header to reflect your call-to-action of choice. Also, add a link destination.
Setup Your Social Media Follow Module
Finally, we’ll update the social media networks within our Social Media Follow Module. Don’t forget to double-check your social media URLs to make sure that they’re correct and active!
Open Footer Template
Continue by opening the global footer inside the default website template.
Edit Footer Blurb Module
Our footer has several Blurb Modules that need to be updated. You will need to update the Blurb Title and Blurb Body. You can also take it a step further and update the Blurb Icon as well.
Edit Social Media Icons
We have another Social Media Follow Module in the footer of our design. Add your relevant social media account and link them correctly.
Edit Static Modules
There are a number of modules throughout our footer design that are static and will require your immediate attention. Items like the Service section and the section titles need to be updated to reflect your business needs.
